Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of CFR21 (the "Service"), operated by Levacells SRL, 8 Avenue de la Renaissance, 1000 Brussels, Belgium ("Levacells", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

CFR21 provides AI-assisted research over FDA regulations and guidance. The Service returns cited, evidence-based information for informational purposes only. CFR21 does not provide legal, regulatory, medical, or professional advice, and is not a substitute for the judgment of a qualified professional.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and promptly update it as needed.

4. Subscriptions, trials, and billing

Paid plans are offered on a recurring subscription basis (monthly or annual) and are billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

  • Free trial: if your plan includes a free trial, it automatically converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel before the trial ends.
  • Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price.
  • Cancellation: you may cancel at any time from your account billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access until then.
  • Refunds: fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods.
  • Taxes (VAT): prices shown in EUR are inclusive of applicable Belgian/EU VAT; prices shown in USD are exclusive of taxes, and any applicable taxes are added at checkout. The currency and tax treatment are determined by your location at checkout.
  • EU consumer right of withdrawal: if you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a digital-services purchase. By starting to use the Service during this period you request immediate performance and acknowledge that your right of withdrawal is lost once the Service has been fully performed. Mandatory consumer-protection rights are unaffected.
  • Price changes: we may change subscription prices; we will give reasonable advance notice, and changes apply to the next billing period.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to disrupt it, reverse engineer it, resell it without authorization, scrape it at scale, or use it for unlawful purposes.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and content (excluding underlying public regulatory text), is owned by CFR21 and protected by applicable laws. You retain ownership of the questions you submit; you grant us a limited license to process them to provide and improve the Service.

7. Cookies and privacy

We use essential cookies to operate the Service and process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. CFR21 provides informational research only and does not provide legal, regulatory, medical, or professional advice. We do not warrant that the information provided is complete, accurate, current, or fit for any particular purpose, and you remain responsible for verifying information against official sources and exercising professional judgment.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CFR21 shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on information provided by the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Belgium, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The courts of Brussels, Belgium have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your place of residence grant you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
